CHATURBHAI GANGADAS GENERAL HOSPITAL

Charotar Medical Relief Society was established in 1945, under the auspices of this trust C. G. Construction of General Hospital started in 1947. The hospital became functional in 1955, among the founders of the hospital; the first to make the work of CG General Hospital successful was Hon. Mr. Bhikhabhai Chaturbhai Patel Tathaswa. Shri Haribhai Chaturbhai Patel had the good fortune to be the main donor. Many other donors also helped the hospital financially which led to the existence of this institution. In the list of prominent and leading workers in making Charotar Medical Relief Society functional, Shri Khushalbhai Kuberbhai Patel, Shri Narsibhai Javerbhai Patel, Shri Shankarbhai Javerbhai Patel, Shri Ravjibhai Lallubhai Patel, Shri Motibhai Lallubhai Patel, Shri Mohanbhai Ishwarbhai Patel, Shri Sanabhai Babarbhai Patel and many anonymous workers received support. To make this institution financially viable, the congregation of Murrabbi Shri Khushalbhai Kuberbhai Patel Shri Motibhai Lallubhai Patel Shri Shankarbhai Javerbhai Patel traveled to Africa and collected for the institution. Also gave a good amount of money to the hospital by doing a charity show of the play in Mumbai, the credit of which goes to Murabbi Narsibhai Javerbhai Patel and Mr. Mohanbhai Ishwarbhai Patel.

Hon'ble Mr. Babubhai Jashbhai Patel who was also the Chief Minister of Gujarat State as the first President of Charotar Medical Relief Society. Dr. Jayant Shah was appointed as Chief Doctor in Medical Services. Mr. Becharbhai Desaibhai Patel brought cotton from Sabarkantha district cotton ginners as donation for bed mattress, pillow and quilts for the patients of CG General Hospital, such continuous services are provided by his son Mr. Hariharbhai Becharbhai Patel who has been associated with the institution for 50 to 60 years. Continuously contributing their invaluable service and knowledge to the organization at their selfless cost, who have also contributed a lot for modern facilities and donations in the hospital. The Institute is deeply grateful to him and his family for such unremitting selfless service.

In the list of workers, the service rendered by Rabbi Shri Ravjibhai Lallubhai Patel is particularly noteworthy. He came to the hospital regularly in the morning and evening since the establishment of the hospital till the end of his life and has given full responsibility to this hospital, to continue the work of Seva Yagya, his son Shri Jagdish Chandra Ravjibhai Patel has continued the service work for the last 50 years, his Due to ill health this work has been continued by his son Shri Rushirajbhai J Patel. Today's donor's son Mr. Arvindbhai Motibhai Patel has also been rendering continuous services to this institution for the last 50 to 60 years which deserves respect.
